okay, heres the symptoms, truck turns over , has spark, had the ignition mod checked tonight its still good so the parts guy says.when cranking on i can smell gas , but i dont here the fuel pump cycling.thats on either tank.put a new fuel relay on and still no go,I dont have a pressure gauge to check fuel pressure. need to get this truck running soon any ideas...by the way its a 460 thanks FFF
Edit:
If you can not hear the pumps run at all you do not need the fuel pressure gauge.
The pumps need to run for one second when you turn on the key with the engine not running. We need them to do this before we look at the fuel or the Ignition systems.
the switch your refering to is the one on the fire wall under the drivers side, i was under the assumption that you only did that if the truck was in a wreck, its worth a try not sure how the reset works though .
my truck did this one time and if i remember right it ended up being the "EEC" relay i think is what its called, it sits right next to your fuel pump relay under the hood.
Just went through this with my '91 F350 and it turned out to be the EEC. When it goes it can also take out the ignition module which sounds like it is not your case. The EEC for '91 is unique to '91 only whereas other years EEC covers several years models. Hard to track down the '91 EEC because of numerous part number changes.
