Hotfoot CEL

So a few months ago I did the Hotfoot mod and adjusted just a little too far. Most the time it will not set a CEL. Everynow and then when I really stand on it it will. Last night when I was racing a duraturd (that i beat by the way even though my truck stoped at the start becuase of the CEL) it through the CEL. After that code is thrown my tranny shifts really soon. The TC will lock up in first the unlock for the 1-2 shift then lock agian and I will be in OD before 25mph. I can turn the key off then on and it will reset and shift normal. It only sets the CEL for a second but the shifting thing is untill I shut the truck off. this has happened more than once. Has anyone else noticed this with there trucks?

Are you sure it,s the hotfoot that is causing the problems? what codes does your superchip come up with?

sounds like your tp sensor is a hair over advanced. put your meter on it and tune it back just a hair. it sounds like you are just going out of spec in the pcm's allowable range.

Came up with a TPS code.

I knew that was the problem the whole time and I did turn it back a hair and it wont do it. I was able to make it do it on comand. I was just wanting to know if this was a normal issue when that code was thrown.

its normal if you go out of range, all it means is the pcm is seeing voltage out of its allowable limits. needs just a tweak to get you inrange if thats what it takes to set the code.
