A chip will do it but if you do that then you really should have an intake and exhaust and both of those will help too. If the truck is completly stock then I would start with intake and exhaust. Do a search for 6637 mod for the intake. The 10k mod will help too so do a search for that too.
If you chip it you should also have some gauges in there to keep an eye on what the motor is doing. Too much heat from the added fuel from the chip = bye bye motor.
