What features if any do you wish Ford would have carried over from the bumpsides into the dentsides? i personally can't think of very many but the steel grille would of been nice to have even though it ended during the bump era in '69, i also prefer their steel door panels over the cheesy plastic ones us dent owners got stuck with.
Seems to me that Ford made a lot of subtle improvements in 73, making it a nicer all around truck than the bumpsides. I still say that the dentside cab is the nicest to sit in of any Ford truck.
I love them both. I do like the dash of the bumpside better though. They could have carried that over. Then again I think they are just fine the way they are
I don't mind the bumpsides, but I actually like the '61-'66 body style more than the bumpsides. I really like the back of the cab with the built-in "ducktail" roof line.

I'd have to agree, the bump dash is more attractive, it has that "old school" look about it but the dent dash has grown on me over the years.
The dent sides seem to me, to be a little more rust prone over the rear fender wells. I'm not sure but doesn't the bumpsides have a tiny bit thicker sheet metal.

Yea they do, i'm not sure on the exact gauge though, sheet metal has been getting thinner through out the years, just rap your knuckles on a slickside from the early 60's and then a dentside, the difference is obvious.
Yup, I like looking out over a bump hood much more then a dent, BUT, the dent interiors are much more modern feeling then the bumps(Though mine is a 67--maybe the later wood trimed ones are nicer...)
Having them both I must admit, its a toss-up.
Edit, I love the stance of the bump vs. the dent. The bump is nice and level, the dent nosedives....

I have to gp with a "Slick" myself, but I'm biased. I love my 78' too, and have had 3 bumps. Personally I don't like any trucks after 79'.

I'm with you 100% on the '79 thing, i wouldn't own any truck post '79, even a Ford, those '80's Ford trucks were just POS, even with all todays modern technology we'll never see the likes of the '73-'79 era Ford trucks again.
