won`t charge
I got a 92 F350 7.3L diesel , Ireplaced the alternater,regulater,solenoid but Ican`t get more than 12v out of the alternater unless I bring the rpm up to 2000 and if I turn the lights on I`m pulling it down all the time.

Have you tested the batteries? If a battery is not accepting a charge or has an internal short, the whole system may have a low volt reading. Are you using a voltmeter or the dash meter? if you are using the dash one, get a voltmeter and double check it. It might be lying to you.

Thanks for replying. Iwas checking everything with my voltmeter.Itook my battery back that I had just bought in December and the computer said it was goodbut low,so they put it on trickle charge until tomorrow night.So I`ll let you know tomorrow night how I make out

One other thing, I've heard that if you need to replace a battery on dual-battery set-ups, they must be the same output in cranking amps and everything.
