Question, Alternater:
i have an alternater off a newer ford. it has the built in regulator. can i set this up as a simple one wire like a gm delco alternator? i was looking at it and it has the description for what wire plug goes where. thanks for any help. ron46.

The one wire GM's use a special aftermarket regulator. You can make the 70's/early80's Gm alt's 2 wire by just jumping the sensing wire to the output wire. Try to find a diagram for the year alternator you have. Or tell me the year and model it came off of(maybe the wire colors too) and I will see if I can find a diagram.

Call www.paperformance.com they do this for muscle cars mostly but the trucks are the same.
