Bearing opinion
Ok, I have an engine with the weak oil pressure. Great on start up but as it warms it drops like the proverbial rock. It is a strong running motor, would it take care of my issue if I just had rod and main bearings installed or would I need the cam bearings also.

Without seeing and measureing everything, your question just could not be answered with any degree of certainty. If your crank doesn't look beat up when you get the caps off and the bearings look like they were wearing evenly and you are willing to gamble, you could throw a set in and see what happens. If you wanted to put cam bearings in you would have to tear the whole motor down, so you would have to rebuild anyways.

If you pull the pan look at the pickup screen and the pump first then go ahead and look at the inserts and their clearances. Remember the fact the babbit overlay is gone and cooper appears doesn't mean a bearing is bad. kotzy
