62 brakes
I want to put a dual master cylinder from 1975 on my 1962 F-100, what additional will I need for the hydrolics ?
How do I identify what 6 cylinder I have ? Are there repo sheet metal corners for under the tail light available ?
Thank you for your help. Jim
As for the master? are you upgrading to power or even discs?
There are three different types of beds for the 62 F100. Which one do you have?
1 The unibody integral cab and box
2 The 62 to 63 wrong bed styleside
3 the flair side (commonly called a stepside)

Thanks for your help, I have a 223, wrong bed style. All I want to add is the double reservoir master cylinder for occasional driving, not in heavy traffic. What parts will I need ?
I notice one cab support looks weak besides needing the bottom part of the box below the tail lights (rust). I can probably build the patches but sometimes better off just buying the replacement sheet metal ? Otherwise just want it functional and pretty it up some.
Sincerely,
Jim
Ask Number Dummy to post the rear end panel part number. I have seen Green Sales with some in the past and also Amherst Antique Auto had some NOS end pieces, dont know if Billy is still kickin tho. Expensive......
Just manual brakes all you need is a new master for non power drum drum and bolt it to the firewall plate. it comes off at the four bolts and the two bolts holding the master on are countersunk from the backside. Then just replumb the lines for front and rear brakes. Another upgrade is to take the two wires for the brake switch and bring them inside the cab and place a mechanical swith to activate the brake lights in lieu of the pressure operated swith on the old master.

The "wrong beds" (1957/60 style) have round taillights.
Is this what your pickup has?
If so, here are the Ford part numbers. Ford calls 'em quarter panel (bed side) extensions.
These are the sheet metal panels at the back of the bed, where the taillamps fit.
B7C-9928058-B .. R/Quarter Panel Extension
B7C-9928059-B .. L/Quarter Panel Extension
No Ford or obsolete parts dealer has any.
Dunno if anyone is reproducing them, you might call Carolina Classics and ask them, they make patch panels for your cab: 800-598-4211,
No one repops them yet. If intrest is generated?
Was Bill Jarret at the supernats in Knoxville? An old codger that sell NOS metal and trim along with his wife?
He had a set of them a few years back. I have his card somewhere.

I don't recall the name Bill Jarrett. I did pick up a bunch of business cards from peeps I never heard off. Never know when someone here might need something.
Old codgers were around..including the Big Dummy.
I did meet and talk with the Carolina Classics fellow (I'm terrible on remembering names), and picked up his catalog.

Amherst antique auto parts.
He usually had a trailer with all types of ford NOS metal on it. Also had a reall good selection of NOS badging.

PS check on slicks Bill in the parts wanted Cam is looking for a lens for his parts for reverse lights on his 66. first pair of those i have ever seen. I looked at the original invoice and they were installed by the selling dealer as an accessory. Only two items as optioned were the reverse lights and air conditioning. His truck is a real time capsule. still has everything on it that was installed in 66.

Don't recall seeing him. If you are looking for NOS F100 fender emblems for 1965, there are some locally. Two are Twin-I-Beam, one is a Camper Special. The prices are BIG BUCK.
I got to the swap meet at 7:30 AM Thursday morning = there was hardly a soul around! It was drizzling, but heck...that's no excuse.
It sure didn't resemble any CA swap meet I've ever been to (been hittin' them since 1966), which at that hour are teeming with peeps, and by that time, most of the cream is gone.
At this meet, a NOS 1965/70 3 spoke red steering wheel sat on a table for two whole days, no one even looked at it, and it was in the original box.
I told the seller, I didn't need it, but if it didn't sell, I'd buy it, and I did.
Peeps back there were asleep at the switch!

They're not factory original, Dave.
I contacted him and asked him to send me some pics.
I have seen backup lights on these trucks, they were made by Unity and sold by stores such as The Lighthouse.
I have found that the supernats swap is like that. Since it has been sold i do not think many of the vendors will be returning. I found a few gems there my self over the years. In fact i bought a pair of Short bed NOS uni bed ends (think arm leg and left nut in price) off of Billy at carisile and bought some bezels at the supernats. We were dickering on a NOS set of F250 61 62 spears, i finally paid him what he was asking....

PS what i am really looking for is a set of F-1000 or 1100 Hood spears off a super duty. I have a set of F800 in NOS and would like a pair for the uni build. I picked up a nice set of 64 aluminum trim that i will modify to work with the eariler spears.

C1TB-16720-H & CITB-16721-H = F800
C1TB-16720-J & C1TB-16721-J = F1000.
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts seller (with a website) has any of them.
The new show owners said they are opening up the event for everything: cars & trucks.
Oh well...
The guy that I mentioned above that has the emblems locally has the cast hood pieces for 1960 NOS.
I'll have to take a look-see at this local Ford obsolete parts store (no website), there's a pile of NOS trim there.
I only looked at a small part of it, because there are several 1930's cars blocking the display cases, and my agility for climbing over heaps (in more ways than one) has gone away with the arrival of Arthur.
Don (camperspecial65) was there too (as was Aussie 53), Don might recall what was there.
