96 Sport - Code P0153

Hi All,

I got a CEL today (wife did driving to work) - pulled the code, and it's P0153...

looked it up, and said most likely an O2 sensor...

anyway to confirm which, or if it is this for sure? They are cheap enough after market that I could just replace them both (upstream, and downstream) but is it an easy repair, where they just bolt of of the exhaust?

any thoughts? and was this a common code for the 96's?

Thanks

also, any advantage of going with true blue Motorcraft parts for this? or are they all made by the same company anyways?

My reference says it's a Fuel Control System fault. I wouldn't start changing parts until I knew for certain.

Hi, I cleared the code - wife said the gas cap was a bit loose (asked her to check that) - maybe that's all it was? 0153 is not an O2 sensor failure? - interesting.

Thanks
