I had a little accident in my truck and i am looking for body panels anyone ever heard of certifit they seem really cheap and are close to my house are there any other places i should look thanks in advance
Certifit stuff is alright, but fairly cheap (you get what you pay for). I have a Certifit grill, header panel and stone guard on my truck right now (I bought it from the PO after he had rear-ended someone and I had to replace most of the front). With some fitting and stamping clean up (stone guard mainly), the stuff works well for the money. There are certainly better options out there at a price but for the bucks I am not complaining. I didn't have to hang new fenders though but have heard fit is pretty poor and stamping is off by something like 1/4-1/2"! That is like Chebby tolerances...not good nuf for my Ford anyway! For what it is worth, I am going to buy bedside patch panels one day soon and probably will not go with them on that stuff though.
I used certifit fenders on my both of my trucks, 2 on one and one on the other. I did'nt have any problems with the fit, but I would say they are not as thick of gauge steel as originals are, but here where rust is common on alot of trucks finding a original is not easy to do.
If you're building a show truck, then I'd try and buy OEM originals. But if you're like me and just want a goodlooking old truck to get around in then I'd go for the offshore panels that you're looking at.
Fit is definitely an issue sometimes with this stuff, but I've had good luck with offshore fenders and boxsides for the most part.
We just put certi fit panels (fenders, cab corners, and couple other items) on my buddy's 95 f150, they were right on, i would say as thick if not a hair thicker than oem.
