LAST EDITED ON 14-May-01 AT 06:59 PM (EST)[p]If it starts ok when cool and drags when hot, I would retard the timing a little and try it. Also I have had cars that have had an exhaust leak around the manifold flange and or a crack in the manifold that would puff hot exhaust gas on the starter and cause it not to turn the motor over very well when hot. I just remembered also, that when I had a vehicle that had the timing a little too advanced, if I pumped the gas a little to flood it, it would crank over faster and usually start after it cleared up.
