I need help ! I've got yellowish mayonnaise looking stuff on the inside of my oil cap. No coolant level change and no oil level change . I hope I'm just being paranoid . Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Don't panic.

How long are you letting the engine run? If it's less than 20-30 mins, in cold weather, it's just condensation mixing with crankcase gasses and not burning the moisture off.

It would be a good time to check the PCV valve as it will exaggerate the buildup.

 

I just replaced the pcv valve, and I'm really running it much , maybe 7 or 8 minutes one way to work , the truck sat up for awhile , not real sure how long but at least a year , before I bought it.

 

as stated, it's probably just condensation. wipe it off and keep an eye on it.
