I`ve had the ebay headers on mine now for about a yr. Time for them to come off, the cracked welds are now leaking. I too am looking for a good place to buy the banks headers.
You can get a set of Ceramic coated Doug Thorley Headers and Y-pipe assembly for under $900 from Summit Racing. The Thorleys have 14Ga tubes and the Banks have thinner 16Ga tubes. The downside to the Thorleys are they are steel so you have to keep ceramic header paint on them to keep them pretty. I have my Thorleys going on a year now and they are great headers. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
I see the Ebay headers for the Ex on Ebay but not F-Series. Might have to wait until they relist headers for F-Series. There were some on several weeks ago.

How did they crack? Did you do any muddin'?
Mine are a year and a half old and still holding together quite nicely...
I went with the Banks headers. I'm thinking value in the long term and couldn't top it being a stainless steel system and the lifetime warranty that comes with them. One thing to note for those interested in Banks headers for v10's. When I ordered direct from them the salesman informed me that the headers for the v10 are being phased out - discontinued.
Not sure if it's true, but just thought I'd throw that little tidbit of hearsay out there here on the boards for any who are interested or considering purchasing them. btw I paid $1335 including shipping to here in IL.
When I bought the eBay headers, I noticed that they weren't consistently available. Keep looking. My guess is they make batches of them and they come and go.
I had to search for a week or two before I got them and, thinking the same thing about them not always being available, bought them. Of course, they were an excellent price, which helped. My suggestion is to keep on waiting around for them until they become available.
The welds looked to be of decent quality to me. Certainly a big thermal shock would be likely to break the welds. I can't see that being a big issue for me as my truck sees only street driving and I need the 4x4 for getting up my snowy/icy driveway in the winter, not for mudding and other off-roading.
Really, as to how long they'll last, I have no idea. They've lasted 2 minutes of engine run time without me driving the truck at all so far!
Like DKF said, Doug Thorley. Huge difference in bottom end power, no more downshifting out of overdrive in that 45-55 mph window, just step down and she slugs the gear, reminiscent of the psd's.
