exhaust question
thanks everyone
still is as tight as the day I installed it...but it isn't a seemless seal. I have a very slight exhaust leak on the frontside of the muffler.
I've thought about welding it up, but right now the cost of welding doesn't make it worth it
on the flip side, I bought Maggie kit #16614 based on FTE's recommendations. I loved it so much I went and bought the Maggie Magnapack for my Mustang GT.
Custom exhausts are just that...custom. If you buy a full out engineered exhaust, you get the benefit of the R&D these companies have done.
IMO, Gibson and Magnaflow rule this area of the market. Their stuff is truly bolt on, and the quality of the product is above and beyond anything you can get locally that is custom made.
for me, the below are my custom jobs:
1. Mustang GT: $380 ish for a custom catback using no-name muffler
$150 the 2nd time was to swap out the muffler and a small section of pipe I had crushed while 4x4
was never happy with the exhaust in either case. it just didn't sound that good
1. 2006 F-150: $470 shipped to my door
