Exhaust 95 PSD

Looking for the best exhaust for my 95 PSd. Looking for turbo back. Should I buy one off the net and install my self or go to local shop and have it installed. I don't really want to do it myself if I can help it. Plus the shop will weld and the kit is put together w/ clamps. What kind of exhaust do you have? Thanks

MBRP has good systems if your looking for a turbo back kit and they are good price. You could also have a shop straight pipe it but its really up to you what you want to do. IMO, i would buy a kit and put it on myself, but thats just me.

I've heard good things about the Magnaflow kits. Summit Racing sells the 4" aluminized kit for about $350

I personally like the clamps. I haven't had any exhaust leaks with them. With the clamps, if you want to change your exhaust setup you can just unclamp everything and switch it out easy.

Built my own turbo back exhaust with a daimond eyes down pipe, some four inch exhaust from car quest and some old tractor exhaust that was laying around the shop i work at and got some universal exhaust hanger. Involved a lot of welding but i am trying to budget my self on the mods so i use old stuff laying around and make it work. Just a note if you have a tendency to hit every mud puddle on a road i would clean the bottom of the truck well because it isn't very fun having dirt fall in your eyes and ears

Down pipe or no down pipe? That is the question. Seems like a lot of work to bend the weld to get a new downpipe in there. How much of a difference is ther in exhaust if I do just exhaust or downpipe and exhaust?

Don't skip the down pipe. Yes its a biotch to install, but the juice is worth the squeeze.

Ramrod. Take a look at this link and go down a little and look at the pictures of stock downpipe compared to aftermarket 3" downpipe and you tell me whether its worth getting the stocker out of there.

I just ordered my exhaust system today from The Power Shop. I was going to get the 4" turbo-back with 3" dp mbrp with the cat delete for $285 shipped to my house, but when i was talking to the guy he recommended the Diamond eye system. It was the same price but I guess they use a thicker guage pipe so it is more durable and lasts longer than the mbrp. Plus the Diamond eye has a stainless steel muffler and the mbrp did not. I asked about how it would sound too because I know alot of people like the mbrp and I had never heard the diamond eye, but he said they sound the same so we will see. I thought that price was very reasonable so it might be worth it to get whole new system. It will be in next week. Can't wait

Not to Hijack or nothin, just have a quick question. I was wondering if it would be alright to cut the cat out and not put a delete pipe in. does it hurt power or performance to have it bail out under the truck?

Are you talking like just dump the exhaust right before the cat? It's not going to hurt anything, although most guys at least put a couple feet of pipe to bring it to right in front of the rear tire.

Ya, i was going to buy a 3"DP and then run a straight pipe to bail before the rear tire, just money is tight right now but i want the truck alittle louder and run better, so i was just gonna cut the cat out and leave it like that for now.
