Wiper Blade Size

I did a search and couldn't find this addressed. I went to buy new wiper blades for my X. The book recommends 20" front r/l, and 18" rear. This seems quite small. I think that is the side that's on there right now, and it seems like they could be alot longer. Anyone out there running longer blades?

You can fit 24" wiper blades on the front windshield with no problem at all and you will see a big improvement.

I am using 24" wipers on my Superduty (same windshield as Excursions).

That's what I was thinking. Looks like plenty of room for 24s. Is this just another Ford cost saving moment or what?

I use 24". Haven't checked the rear, but will change if it fits.

I run 24" wipers on the front without any problems.

I have found one brand of 19" blades that fit the rear, the rest all seem to hit the third brake light during the wipe. The 19" that fits is a "Trico 16-190 NeoForm Wiper Blade"
