I've lost all electrical power on my 1994 F150; not even a dome light. I think I may have a ground problem but I don't know where to look for the ground.
Start at the battery, take both cables off and clean the post and connector. Put it back on and dab some vaseline on each post.
See if that does it.
If not check the other end of each cable and take them off and clean them.
There is also a ground wire coming off the Neg. post and going to the Body of the truck, make sure this ground is good.
Thanks for the reply. New battery is hot; ground to body is good. At first the starter would not turn but everything was powered up; lights, etc. A few tries later I ahd no power. I have noticed for several months that there was a delay between when I turned the ignition and the started engaged. Does that provide a clue?

Sounds to me that you have bad battery cables.
I would replace the battery cables unless it is rusty where the POS cable bolts to the starter relay on the fender. Then I would clean it very good and if still no go replace the cables.
I've now replaced the negative battery cable, removed and replaced the ground to the body and made sure the battery was hot but still the same results....no power. Any ideas about what to try next?
