What year is the motor?
What tranny does your truck have?
Motors for both E and F series are all the same, so there won't be much stopping you from dropping this right in. The 5.8 is balanced different than the 5.0 so it requires a different flywheel/flexplate, and these are tranny specific. Ford moved the TFI module from the distributor to the fender in '91 or '92, so if the replacement motor is from the other side of this split from your truck you will need a different distributor.
Paul, I'm waitning on the guy who has the motor to tell me the year but the motor & computer came out of a van w/ a E4OD. My truck also has an E4OD. So, the only difference is the flexplate, balancer & ignition module location? Sweet!
