I have a 4 pin round hook up on my work trailer that i tow with my mazda ,switched it from 4 pin flat ,works great. Tried doing the same with my 95 explorer, it had factory 4 pin flat so i cut it off to put 4 pin round on and to make a long story short could not get it to work and it also cost me $ 40 to get the blowen fuse replaced which i could not seem to find any where, seems it was hidden under the hood in secret location??????!!!!!!
If any one out there has had this problem before, and fixed it please help!!!
I'll send you the Normal (standard hook-up wiring diagram)
It's a 4 pin flat diagram.
I'll also look for my 4-pin round diagram to send you.
The normal Standard hook-ups are according to Hoyle.
The thing about companies is, they can wire THEIR trailers for THEIR own use, rather than use the Normal(Standard)hook-ups.
I suggest getting a battery(not your vehicle) and check all the connections on the trailer with a couple of wires, to see what their colour code is and wire your vehicle accordingly, then when your done, change it back to the Standard wiring.
That's what i would do.
Btw,I've seen Fuse Boxes under the hood and they were WELL marked
if it came with the Towing Package.
