Emergency Flashers - '95 Explorer
Thanks
, all the trucks I have owned are from the early, early 80's and before, there must be a flasher unit. It is usually a cylindrical looking 2 pronged plugin type, often close to the steering column or fusebox behind the dash in a very hard to get at area
This unit is what causes the flashers to flash. Same kind is often used for the turn signals so if you find both in the truck you can swap them for troubleshooting. In my experiences if it isnt the fuse it is this unit that is dead.
Sparky
That is my little bit of experience also.. Odd thing is I didn't see, in my decent search, any unit except the one that I felt clicking as the turn signal, I had turned on to make sure it was it, flashed.
Never saw any other. that is what stumped me on this one. Left wondering if these fine minds at Ford have pulled a fast one on us old time under dash men.
Thanks again!
