i have recently purchased an 88 f250 hd 4x4 with a zf 5 speed. i noticed it is able to be started without depressing the clutch as a friend's does. upon inspection i see someone has bypassed the safety switch with a jumper. i tried to connect it back up but the switch does not work. now for the question. if jumping just two of the terminals allows the truck to start, then why does the switch have 6 wires to it? or should i care? thanks. richard
Let's see :
Two to the ignition switch
One to the clutch interlock switch & stater relay.
One electric shift control module /if applicable
One to the Back-up lights
One to the direction flasher
Total = 6
