Read the Guzzle link and it will walk you through dropping the tank. If you've got a full 38 gallon tank it's a major pain. If it's almost empty, then not a big deal.
By the way, if you haven't figured it out yet, you have stumbled upon the best source of info for your truck on the net. Since you probably haven't had time to wander around FTE yet, we have a Biodiesel /WVO section located a little further down the main forum listing. Here's a link if you have any questions about your veggie set up Bio-diesel, Propane and Alternative Diesel Engine Fuels - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
To Everyone who spent time replying to my problem,, thank you very much..i'm gonna just keep reading and reading and try to grab some knowledge...thanks again..i will let you know my results after i drop the tank

Just remember its a litter harder to drop the tanks on our trucks because we have Excursions and the Superdutys tanks are in a different place that is easier to get to,

When I dropped my tank I used the fuel pump to pump it dry. I put a jack underneath it, the skid pan and the tank drop together. There are 4 bolts that hold it up they are real obvious. I lossened the hose clamps for the refuel and vent hoses, you can get to them directly under the fuel fill port portion of the fender, just outsided the frame. Then I loosened the rear bolts slightly (about an inch), then pulled the front ones clear out the lowered the tank down 3-4 inches in the front from their over top of the rear axel I could reach up disconnect the electrical connection and the quick release fuel hose connections. (there is a plastic band that goes about one third of the way around the fitting I depressed that with a screw driver (the flat side) and pulled gently and it came right off.) After that it was a simple matter of following guzzles instructions.
I did drop the tank completely, it is only about 50 lbs with the skid plate when empty. I had to jack the truck bumper up only about 3 inches to get it out from underneath. I should have done that mod a while ago, my injectors developed a balance fault in the number 3 and number 8 from lack of fuel or to much air.
Also of not, I could blow backwards through the line and get lots of bubbles and it would run alittle better for a while, but the issue came back.

good luck and I will watch the thread if you have any issues I may be able to help as I just did this a month ago.
I should have done that mod a while ago, my injectors developed a balance fault in the number 3 and number 8 from lack of fuel or to much air.
Can you tell me more about your balance fault? Was this during a rotational velocity test? How far off were the #3 & #8 from the rest of them, and what changes did you see running the test after the mods?
Well, neither cylinder was failing the cylinder contribution test and when I had the % change in rotational velocity up #8 was showing 2.5-3% change, all other cylinders where 0%. after the maintenance issues (I had just tested all the cylinders to prep for a road trip so the two test results were within a week) and the air in the fuel system, both the #3 and #8 failed the cylinder contribution test # coming in a 4.5-5.5% change in rotational velocity and #8 6.5-7.3%. All of these number were generated using AE with the chip on stock setting for accuracy.
so I saw about a 4-5% increase in both cylinders in a matter of 48 hours, but the biggest issue I have with it now the truck does not idle smooth, it has a little twitch. I have been running an excellent lubricative additive, and the numbers have decreased slightly (cant pull any right now, I updated AE and they haven't sent me the new unlock code) but the issue is still there.
I guess I need new injectors, might as well get stage one or 2's which means I need a BTS tranny, new tunes for my DP, might as well get live tuning to optimize sheesh that just turned into a 6000 dollar plugged intank fuel filter....
Thanks Bryan. Do you by chance have the new gray CPS? There have been some issues with the #8 associated with some of the new models. It might still show up on the rotational velocity as a #8 issue.
I do have the new gray CPS, but like I said, I tested everything, just prior to a trip, drove one day, got the bad fuel at the end of my trip and plugged everything up, took me about a day and a half to trouble shoot it, got it fixed and retested everythingso the two tests that showed huge changes were litterally 2-3 days apart and the difference in smoothness was huge. The number 8 was not perfect prior to the trip but was not noticible to me in the truck and the number 3 was perfect, the number 8 and the number 3 if you look at the firing order are the two injectors that would be the first to be left without fuel, the number 8 being the worse off of the two.
would you suggest replacing the screens or just cleaning them,... do i have to buy the whole fuel pick up assembly ?... does anyone know the correct term?..i've heard "pyramid sock" ? any part #'s ?.
If you decide to do the in tank mods you can eliminate this completely and add a suction rated filter outside the tank before the fuel pump. I have heard the 5.4 from the F150 has the same parts in their mixing chamber which is less expensive than the assembly for the 7.3.
I don't see any reason you couldn't clean the screens. Maybe someone who has done the in tank mods still has their old mixing chamber and would be willing to part with it.
Although I did my own version with my own filters and bought the parts piece meal if you click here ITP sells a kit that eliminates the in tank filter completely. I would recommend this because it solves a known problem with the fuel system. The issue is there is no pre pump filter, which is designed to keep abrasives from destroying your pump. Most of the time no filter is needed, but most of the time the screen doesn't plug up either does it?? So you can just delete the in tank filter, you can install an inline pre pump suction style filter like sold at the ITP site or you can install a prepump air/fuel filter separator with booster pump like I did. No matter how you skin the cat I would recommend deleting the in tank filter
Thanks for all the advice guys !.. i dropped the tank and the screen was BLACK !.. i could barely see any light thru it,.. i dont even know how it idled...anyways,.. runs like a top now ( new air filter, fuel filter, oil change, cpsensor, fuel pump,) Thanks for the great info
Thanks for following up and letting us know what fixed the problem. This can help the next guy with similar symptoms. I'm also glad to hear the fix was easy on the wallet.
