My 73 F-250 is an AC truck but is missing the compressor and radiator. The blower motor is dead also.
I would like to change it to a non-ac truck. I assume all I would need is the heater box, controls, vents and all the cables and tubes that would go along with it.
What year trucks would these parts match?
I would like to get it up and running by the fall so I have heat.
You will be stuck with a giant hole in the firewall that must be patched. I would instead convert it to the "deluxe" heater. All they did was leave out the a/c. So I would just replace the blower motor and call it good. This way you can keep all your dash vents.
Thats what I did to mine I just took off the compressor and all the stuff in front of the radiator. Then when got into it to replace the heater core I took out the evaporator. So all of the components to the AC are gone, but the giant box under the hood that houses the blower and heater core is still there along with all my ducts under the dash and I still use the same controls.
