We need to know what computer you used for the conversion? What vehicle and year did it come from?

I tried NLOC already they helped a little.I used a 95 f150 5.8 and computer that i used is MOB1.I tried to look up the MOB1 and i cant find were it came from? They have told me to use the AKCO,Some came with one O2 sensor i just need to know if they came on the F150s only or if they came on the vans or cars so i can keep a look out for it in the junk yard?I think its easier to change computers than to wire up a second O2 sensor.Any help would be good thanks.

My chiltons manual only shows dual O2 sensors for the california models in '95. If your donor truck didn't have dual sensors then you don't need them on your truck.

The AKC0 was specific to the GEN 1 LMAF conversion, and it only uses one O2 sensor, as well as almost all of the other EEC-4/MAF/E4OD/V8 ECU's. The thing with the AKC0 is that the injector tables are mapped for 30lb squirters; you'll need the air meter that came with that kit and a set of 30lb injectors if you don't plan on any aftermarket tuning.

There are a few other mass air 5.8 ECU's that'll work fine with your motor and transmission combo; WAY1 or VEX1 . The 302/MA/E4OD ECU's will also work but fueling and timing will be off slightly because of the displacement differences

Does the WAY1 and VEX1 have one O2 sensor? My hole problem is i need a computer that has one O2 sensor or i need to wire one up to the computer or find a tranmission harness for a E4OD with a O2 sensor plug but they are hard to find.

Mine only has one O2. But it's a 5.0/4r70w combo w/MAF. I would think all the MAF trucks before OBDII(96) would only have the one O2. They didn't change the exhaust components over until it was 96.

As far as I know, they only need one O2. Finding any 5.8 or 5.0 MAF EEC-4 ECU with an E4OD shouldn't be too hard. The 5.0 types are probably going to be easier to find.

the WAY1 will work it has only 1 O2. there are remans available from PartsAmerica.com f5tf-12a650-jb... i got one! well 2 now... and it running a 427w stroker with a chip. I learned from my tuner that the EEC will adjust/ learn up to 25% of its normal range so a 351 on a stock 302 eec is not impossible. as long as you dont get too radicle!
BTW, the way1 and the vex1 are federal emmissions not california.

Thumbs up

anywhere you can find one! partsamerica was my best source. A word of advice , i dont know how you plan to do your harness, but the way ford did the conversion kit is about the easiest and cleanest way to go. you'll need to visit a local scrapyard and retrieve a factory harness and a , preferably dead eec. for donor parts. i used a 89 crown vic because it layed out just right.

I also combined the cv harness with the OEM truck harness rather than making a intermittant/ go between harness like ford did. i just saw one tonight and it looks a lot cleaner than my jumbled mess. i'm planning on remaking mine like theirs... <<< is that copyright infringement??? i guess as long as i don't sell it for profit!
