Yes Ken , Katrina was the monster from 3 years ago, almost to the date, it was on Aug 29, 2005, I am way up in Kentwood 90 miles from New Orleans, I got some damage, mainly from wind and trees down on the top of my Cabana and in my pool, but I didn't see anything like those poor guys down south, it will be several more years before they will recover, and some probably never will rebuild.

Problem is that this thing is gonna' have a whole bunch of warm water to strengthen in before it gets up into the northern Gulf.
I live about 180 miles from the coast & when both Camile & Katrina passed by their winds were still over 100 mph. Camile's left eye wall was about 2 miles east, Katrina's went straight over.
I am not looking forward to a repeat.

Yeah it's not looking good for the gulf coast, I hear hotels are already being booked way up here in Jackson and further north. Hope you guys on the coast will be making arrangments to leave...if you haven't already.
