I've lost track of the number of times my bride got me, truck, trailer and very expensive race car home late at night and sometimes hundreds of miles after a day of racing and a lot of drinking. She would only squawk about going over bridges. Especially the one over the Mississippi from West Baton Rouge to East Baton Rouge. Somehow always got my stupid *** and expensive stuff home safe. Lots of times from Bristol all the way to NY. Oh well, just another memory now. Once she drove my truck down the Alcan when it was still gravel, in the winter time and white out conditions, with me following in our Lincoln. By the time we got to Seattle her hands were bleeding from clutching onto the wheel so hard.
Unfortunately my wife has been driving mine for the past couple weeks.... ever since I totalled her expy the day she borrowed my truck to haul some yard furniture to her parents new place. DAng I need to get her another vehicle soon so I can have my truck back.
my wife took mine across town and said your right people do get out of your way in this thing.thats the only time she told me I was right about something.
Brandon, I was referring to the old bridge. I doubt if it is even in use anymore if it is even still there. I don't remember why we used to use it. Must have been a shorter route from the track. The one that the Cajun Nationals used to be held at. In fact it was at that track where the photo in my signature was taken. There were a lot more photos in the article, the best one was of the car carrying the front wheels all the way through 1st gear but it was in black and white and pretty grainy and did not scan well so I did not post it.
