I was looking for one of the long T40 Torx bits, couldn't find one. I also was unable to find a T40 bit for 1/4" drive socket. However the 3/8" drive Torx T40 bit I have has the bit held in the socket with a spring clip. I pulled the T40 bit out of the socket and inserted it into the proper sized 1/4" drive socket. To hold the bit in the socket I put a piece of back electrical tape over the socket and pushed the bit, and the tape into the socket. Bingo a temporary 1/4" drive Torx T40 bit.
While you have the intake off get in there with a grinder and dremmel and remove the casting ridges the factory left for no good reason other than to make installation of this bolt nearly impossible. Once this is done you'll be able to get in there with a 3/8 torx bit and extension.
