There is a guy in Austrailia that dropped a built up 289 in a Toyota Hi-Lux. It was pretty awesome. I asked him how it hooked and he said he didn't have any problems, but almost in the same breath said he was looking to put a big gas tank in the rear. (I say big because I can't remember how many LITERS
). I told him to make sure it was baffled, lest he put that HiLux on it side on the first hard turn

That's not exactly a small pickup-especially with all the imports running around today. A 408 would be a great motor for that truck IMO.
