my a/c compressor making a loud noise when engage at park position...it;s getting louder when i drive the vehicle..please help?? thank's
That's the compressor getting ready to explode internally. Get it replaced "before" it does this or the repair bill will jump up the cost of a condenser.
The compressor is already shedding it's innards into the system, so a flush will be necessary. If you wait until it fails completely, there will be metal chunks lodged in the condenser and flushing won't remove them.
Disconnect the electrical connector at the compressor until you get it repaired.
thanks Isrx101...but..this loud noise happen only when they vacuum out the old freon in the system...and put a new freon in and they add about 2 oz. of R134a oil...?
So the system was worked on recently? What was te problem? what was done?
An overcharge of refrigerant can cause a groaning type noise, and can also quickly damage the compressor. We need "the rest of the story".
If they evacuated the sentire ystem, you need to make sure 2 oz of oil is enough. It seems low to me, but I don't know what year you have. There are lots of web sites that will tell you how much oil it needs. As previously suggested, you should unplug the compressor until you figure this out.
ok...this is the story..i heard a rattling sound coming from the ac compressor...i just ignore it..because the ac still blows cold air a few weeks later i noticed the air gets warmer..i decided to bring the car to the ac repair shop..they said it's low on freon so they add some freon in..then the ac blows cold air again..after a few hours it's blows warm air. so i get back to the shop and they said the compressor is about to give up! then they vacuum out the system put some R134a oil in it charge the system..then the ac blows cold air again! after a few days i noticed the compressor is making a very loud noise like it's grinding in something...but the ac still blows cold air...

The shop gave you the answer, your compressor is failing. Your leak is probably from the shaft seal. If you disconnect it NOW and have the compressor replaced and the system flushed, you might be able to save the condenser. If you keep running it, you will be replacing the condenser too.
The engine in your truck would run for a while with a rod knock, but would you keep driving it? Apply that logic here.
