Help please!!!
I have an 07 expedition. The A/C went out then two weeks later I started hearing this loud noise, sounded similar to the fan hitting a piece of plastic or something. Fan was clear, found the A/C compressor clutch plate was worn pretty bad, I thought it was the rattling, noise I heard. Swapped it out, and nothing changed, still hear the noise, and it seems to be coming from the AC compressor, has anyone had this problem before? Should I just change the compressor?

I would go to autoparts store and pick up a cheap stethoscope (don't know the real name lol) and be 100% sure before throwing money at it. Those have saved me a lot of money in finding the source of noise even though chances are good it is your compressor since you don't have A/C.
