Can't shift into gear

Hi There!
I can't put my truck into gear,the shift lever won't move at all.
Please help me before i tear it appart.

Can't shift into gear

Turn your key 1 notch from the lock position (but not to the "on" position). See if your shifter will move now. If it will, check your stop lamp switch and fuse.

Let us know what you find.

Thank-you, Your help worked.
The problem was a small wire that was cut on the switch.
I repaired it and eveything worked fine.

I have the same problem. I replaced the number 7 minifuse, replaced both taillamps, and the brake switch....BUT STILL NO GO!!!! HELP!!!!

My trailer lights still work, ran pigtails down from stock taillights to trailer harness and now have brake lights

If your stop lamps work but you still can' shift from park, check the wiring between the shift interlock solenoid and the stop lamp switch. If the wiring is ok replace the shift interlock solenoid.
