2WD opinions.
Good tires and momentum! That is the KEY to doing anything off-road.
A hill climb I could do no problem in 4x4 with my F-350 was a great challenge in my 2wd. I had to get up to 40 before hitting the bottom of the hill. It was a great ride to say the least.
1990 Dodge Ram. Two wheel drive. Got like 18mpg. It had bald tires and I took it wheeling around december in washington. Hitting mud puddles and doing some small hill climbs and bump jumps.
I miss that truck. -_- Its kind of sad when my big rig gets 10mpg LESS haha.
Seal 'er up good if your taking it puddle jumping in december when they' freeze over. I had some funny sounds after that.
Totally worth it though. ^_^

throw a locker in the rear, ive heard good things about the aussie.
I would go with a 35" tire, in the rear throw them on just for wheeling if you want.
Or get 35" all around and trim some fenders.
Make sure you get a high lift jack, some tow STRAPS
As for the hockey puck body lift, yea i would consider it, On one condiditon and one condition only, the truck was never gunna go faster than 25mph and NEVER see a road, even then. I would rather weld in some metal tubing.
Just cause alot of people do it and think its a good idea doenst mean it is.
Take for instance meth heads, there is alot of them and they think its a good idea, are you gunna go do some meth?
Same thought process if you ask me.

I was just kidding about the hockey pucks. Im not going to put a body lift on my truck. I really dont have a use for that much lift. I just wanted to see if anyone here has built a 2WD trail truck. Thank you all for the advice. The only question I have left is will M/T's on the front make any diffrence.
ok, thanks for the help. one more question. what kind of tire would i want to run on the front? Keeping in mind this is my daily driver, I was thinking of getting some M/Ts on spare rims so I could switch out the back tires when I plan on going off road. Would I want to do the same on the front or would A/Ts be ok?
look at some of the stuff we went through, Look what happens when a hot shot driving a Fx4 goes in 2wd! joseph

You'll be fine going in most stuff in 2wd, I'm still waiting for my last TSL to get here and I went mudding with 2 street tires!!!
