man, if you're gonna post that crap get out of here! we dont want users going out and installing stacked hockey puck body lifts.
honestly?
i wouldnt mess with that truck. you have so much work to do on that thing to get it enjoyable you will hate even working on it. you can find at least a decent 4x4 pretty cheap in this crappy economy! i saw a 95 powerstroke 4x4 the other day marked at $7500 and it was in great shape!

Hey Stinkyfishman, He said he doesn't have any money and has an old worn out beater truck that is for trail use only, not a daily driver. I think a few hockey pucks and weld the spiders is the way to go in his situation, if it were my play truck that's what I'd do.
$7500 - Pffffftttt.... Let's keep it in the under $1000 range here, since that's what the original poster is dealing with.
Hockey pucks Are not, Have not, and Never will be safe on any type of Vehicle.
I read part of it and it looks very informative. First thing I noticed was it said 'use nothing less than grade 10 hardware'. The last body lift kit I bought and installed in my 88 F-150 came with grade 8 hardware. That there makes all body lift kits inadequate I guess.
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see a body lift kit with the blocks instead of pucks... better yet a suspension lift. But this is a $200 truck and will be a toy. Go ahead and spend $150 on a body lift and $500 on a locker if you want, but you'll still have a worn out $200 truck.
My point being you could mod this P.O.S. for free, or you could blow $700 and get the same results.
ok, thanks for the help. one more question. what kind of tire would i want to run on the front? Keeping in mind this is my daily driver, I was thinking of getting some M/Ts on spare rims so I could switch out the back tires when I plan on going off road. Would I want to do the same on the front or would A/Ts be ok?
If this is your daily driver then disregard my previous post. You could cut the fenders if you're not concerned about looks. But you will need some more traction if you have an open diff, not a spool or welded.

and thats why i thank God everyday I do not live anywhere near you! i enjoy my life!

its what some of us folks might call a comparison... 1 year ago a truck like i mentioned would run anywhere from about $12000 to $16000. nowadays with the wonderful economy the price of heavy work trucks have plummeted and are sometimes worth less than half what they used to. ALL THIS CONCLUDES that he could buy a truck in better shape to do more of what he wants than to spend money on what he currently has. Its merely a suggestion and I dont give a rats *** if he takes it or not.
now buzz off with the chitty hockey puck tech and body lift knowledge. if you want more clearance on an old rusted truck, cut the dam fenders!
