I have noticed recently and high pitch noise while driving, it comes and goes, and when it does do it, the noise will go away when you let off the go pedal. I have checked the belt and it seems ok, the tensioner seems ok. I had set the CEL for the HPOP which I have and need to change could the noise be from that? What else should I look for? It almost sounds like the high pitch noise from brakes. Also checked those and they look good. Thanks
sounds like a bearing is going out on one of your accessories, I went through this not too long ago the sound would only come and go when I would try to get under the hood to find it it would stop this went on for a while the only way I found it was with a mechanic's stethoscope ,you may want to get one it,s cheeper than guessing LOL
my vaccumn pump was doing that, just release tension on the belt and try to spin it, it should be a little hard to spin due to pressure, but you'll be able to hear it squeak or not...
Well got the belt off and was listening around and found the idler pulley is loose and has some play in it when spun by hand you start to hear the squeal.
