Jeez..... If it wasn't bad enough to commit suicide and leave your wife and two year old without a father, you take your dog out to the middle of nowhere with you to fend for himself.
I'm glad the dog survived... his family has lost enough already.

Wow, I was thinking the exact same thing. That, and I have a lot of sympathy for his family.

If your going to do yourself in why take your dog. Suicide is the most selfish act I believe a person can do. It affects so many people, in such a dramatic way. When I was a little boy my friend & I were playing hide & seek, I opened a closet door in the garage to find his father hanging there dead. He hung himself. I was around 8 years old, that made a lifelong impression on me, & I'm sure my friend.

Wow, sorry to hear that happened to you, how horrible.
That is hard enough to handle when an adult, it must really mess a child up for the rest of their lives. It is one of the worse things about war, children seeing parents killed, imho.
