E4OD Wish List
Within the next few months I'll be putting my truck in the shop for a transmission overhaul (1996 F-250HD, 4x4, 460, E4OD, 155K.) I've already done the research and have found (from every person I've asked) what seems to be a very competent shop. My question goes out to those that have had overhauls, and others that are looking at overhauls. What would you have asked for, did ask for, or are going to ask for. What should I be asking for to make this transmission as close to bullet proof as possible? (I.E. Heavier Internals? Better Torque Converter? Necessary updates to the design?) I'm already planning on a shift kit. And I plan on protecting the investment as best as possible by going with a bigger pan, bigger cooler, and a temperature gauge.
