my dealer promised me a vehicle if my truck was ever laid up for warranty work. i said, ok, but it'll have to be a truck... more or less exactly what i'm driving. they said consider it done. they'd better pull through if i ever need it.
Me niether other than the few 04 and some 05 but not that much that was first model year im sure the quirks are worked out by now thats good sounds like your dealer wants to look after you alright good stuff
the plug issue was solved in '03 i think. they had a lot of driveline vibration issues in the '04-early '05 models, engines and trannies were good, i think maybe a couple of electrical gremlins. never heard of too many major issues other than the spark plug problem which seemes avoidable if you changed them and torqued them to the proper spec. there's still a plug issue, but its more that they break them trying to get them out. seems that the fix for the plug spitting(deeper threads) caused another slight problem.
Haven't had any problems with my 04 at 70K. I changed the plugs already though to avoid them getting stuck. Otherwise everything is staying together and pulling 20+ mpg.
It has the 5.4 but to be honest I'll have to go check which gears I got. Turns about 1700 at 100 kph. The dealer did the plugs for me and I think they used some antiseize.
thats a 3.55 diffy you got there Collin. just checked my mpg again and 17.5mpg, all city this week...man, i'm impressed!! this is very good for a heavy truck with only 1900k on the clock!!
Thanks Sherm and that is very impressive MPG for city and only 1900 km! I think mine is closer to 16 in the city so your's should get better as it breaks in a little more.

It just might be time to upgrade from the Ranger to an F150 Super Crew.
I`ve always liked the bigger, roomer vehicles anyway.
Preppy from what i read there was a few I think not sure 04s had the spark plug issue as well as people complained of throttle lag cause of the electronic throttle and other things but like i said im sure its worked out by now
Yes anti seize and torque to correct specs by Ford no more or less i guess
do it boss. with the family plan pricing its a smoking deal to buy right now!! i am highly impressed with this truck's mpg. i know for a fact that the competition is only getting 10-15mpg during the break-in period... my lowest so far has been 16 with lots of horsing around...
