Hello and project input

I've been trying to find this information prior to asking but no luck thus far.
I have a 1989 Bronco XLT 4x4 that I've known all it's life. Right now it's just sitting and has definitely been used. I thought about getting rid of it when I moved, but if it will work I'd rather have a truck that I know everything about, every problem and history, than something I know nothing about.
I can't seem to find any measurements as far as the difference in width, I know it's 106" long, so 4" shorter.
I've heard they are wider, but I don't know how much. This is actually a good thing to me as I'd like to put F600 fenders on it and custom make a larger stock looking bed. I think it be nice to be slightly bigger than a F100, but not like a F800, ha.
Anyone know the differences?

1989 is the same width as the 1973 on up driveline, and has a wider frame (up front) than 1973-1979. The stepside bed from 1973 and newer would have a similar appearance to the original, and the F250 and larger front fenders should clear the tires. The track width is about 5" wider overall. However, IIRC, the wheelbase is 104", and the '56 F100 is 114"? One caveat of the 1989 bronco is the rear axle has the provision for the speedo gear, and is likely an 8.8

Thanks for the input, I think I'll find a doner f250/f350 of more recent years and use that. I might need a truck in the mean time judging by some of the mods I want to do.
Been racking my brain the past couple days on some major physics, but one of the things I figured out was how to make Delorean style doors and suicide/normal doors work together, even off the same handles. lol, my head hurts, but this is going to be awesome
Lots of work, but you can't tell me the first time someone opens it thinking it only does one and then does the other, that it wouldn't blow their mind... I should probably patent this if it works, lol.

Stephen, I can't help with the conversion but would like to say "Welcome to the board". Read and ask questions and you will be a wiser man. P.S. now they will be looking for you at all the shows, look out for a guy in a 3 pc, suit with a shoulder holster budge on a 90 degree day at the car/truck shows--he's looking for Stephen!!
