You know, I was thinking about a line lock, but wasn't sure how it would work as an emergency brake.

If I'm not mistaken a Line lock would be used on hydraulic brakes after you "pump it up" to set the brakes.

I wouldn't want to do it that way.

Some small aircraft have similar locking "valves" that you close after pumping the brake pedals and then hold while closing the valve to "set" the parking brakes. They almost ALWAYS leak off eventually releasing the brakes.....We always "chock" airplanes anyway so very few people ever trust those parking brakes....
I wouldn't want my 8000+ lb truck to go rolling away into something or someone after setting the brakes

The same parking brake assy from a Super Duty may work on an AOD. (it won't be cheap though.....you'd have to buy one and get the drive shaft shortened.)

Your other option would to find an after market mechanical disk brake type parking brake sold for 4x4 trucks and jeeps. They work good and they're pretty reliable. You will however, have to fabricate the mounting and cable hook ups etc...

HT32BSX115, do you know of any place that sells these mechanical disk brake type parking brakes for the jeeps and such?

I agree, I don't want this truck to go rolling anywhere unless I'm guiding it and not having a parking brake is a bit unnerving.

I don't. I have seen them online.

You can do a google search for "Jeep parking brake" "trans mounted parking brake" or words to that effect...

That should get you going.

btw,

I just found this..
