Can't Get the Fuel Filter Out?!?
I have changed fuel filters on other vehicles w/o issues, but trying to change the fuel filter on the 96 today has proven to be a difficult.
How do you get the lines off and the filter out?
Thanks.

The tool you need is available at any auto parts store for a few bucks.

Yes, they release the fittings. They're quick disconnects...sort of....not so quick disconnects. Still a PITA sometimes.

Yeah, the fact that it's tucked between the frame and the tank makes it a pain. But that disconnect tool is your best bet.

having someone else do it is your best bet.
if you want to you need the tool and a bunch of grit to get it out.
