How long have you had your truck? Does your IDM have the same looking sticker on it as in Dave's picture? I wonder if you have a replacement IDM from somewhere?
Water on the circuit board is bad. I'd use more than tape to cover the hole. The tape may come loose.

I bought the truck new. What could i use to plug the whole??

I would find something to lay in the bottom of the insert (small disc) and fill it with silicone, the smear some more around the top of the insert.
