I've used it. Works as good as the old silver stuff, just doesn't stick out as a sore thumb. Taped the seat on my old Jeep with it a while back, and it's still working.

Cool! So you can use it to fix holes and cracks in your windshield?

One of the great things about duct tape is its stickiness, and ability to stick to just about anything. Plus its strength. Does it have the same stickiness?

Yes it sticks great. It's been on my Jeep seat for weeks, holds great warm or cold, even with me getting in and out it shows no sign of losing it's grip. Might leave it, it's just a jeep anyway.

If it is the stuff I am thinking of it works great. They are actually making it out of the same stuff that "duct" is made of. The whole idea is that it makes them compatible and the old duct tape won't fall apart after a few years. Buy some and tape a piece of metal with it. Let it sit for a few days and attempt to remove it. Another cool thing is that when it sticks to itself you can just pull hard and it comes apart.

I call the silver stuff the FORCE. It has a light side and a dark side and it holds the Universe together. Or I just call it the magical silver ribbon.

I would think that tape in "camo" colors would be a big hit too.

Cammo duct tape already exists. Military issue at least, but I'll bet you could get it if you look around.

There was some sort of an investigation a few years ago re duct tape and why it did not stick to stuff. Even the ductwork that it was supposed to stick to. I have found a big differnece between brands on how well the old gray stuff functions.

I've read recently that it was infact originally called Duck tape and was invented for the military to help seal ammo boxes etc. against water. It is not however good for ductwork because it doesn't last well in that ap. Some of the cheaper brands will shred when you try to tear them off square.
