Last night my cruise control kept kicking out. Couldn't reset or resume. Had to turn it back on and then set it.
This morning I went to leave for work and the truck seemed sluggish. Applied a little more pedal and it seemed to surge (lunge) and then it was fine. After about 200 yards my "4X4 LOW" indicator started flashing.
I pulled over; cycled the hubs; and then cycled the 4X4 selector switch. Everything then appearred to be fine.
Went about 5 miles and the "4X4 LOW" indicator started flashing and once I slowed, the truck started surging again.
Engine RPM, within reason, seemed to be normal. So, I don't think it was actually trying to go into 4X4 low range.

Anybody had similar issues??
Whats the build date on your truck? is this the first time it has done this?
Electricly actuated T-cases are the worst things ever. THEY SUCK. Period. Take it to ford and I will put my money on it that there is a bad relay, solenoid or motor. Next time, if you can, get the manual t-case. Never fails.

The build date was August of '07. So, if I understand things correctly, that makes it a Job 2.
This is the first time it's happened.
To date, I have just over 23,000 miles with absolutely no issues. Truck gets 15 mpg consistently, over 19 mpg on a few long trips, and it's completely stock.
Have you taken it to the dealer yet? I would before it leaves you stranded when you really need 4 wheel drive.
Yes, it was fixed with a reflash today. Reflash is supposed to fix known issues with the intermittent 4X4 LOW light flashing; cruise control kicking out; and excessive regeneration.
They're waiting on a new right hub, so I should have it back tomorrow. Once I have any specifics on the fix I will update so if anyone is interested in the future they will know what I know.

did this end up fixing it? I’m having these issues now and everyone else seems to have never found the issue. Thanks
Don't know if this will help anyone but...........
I was detailing the truck and must have brushed the selector **** into 4 low.
Started the truck to go to work and it seemed I was losing my tranny as it would rev and then engage again and again. Looked down and saw the light flashing. Stopped the truck put it in neutral and cycled the switch to 4low, 2hi, 4low and back to 2 hi foot on the brake and everything went back to normal. Never shut the truck off at any time during the process, Never has occurred again.
