Doing the flip with longer front hanger at the back and dropping front hanger.Seeing as im just moving the springs lower will i actually get more flex.
I am setting the shackle angle about 30/35 degrees and taking out some overloads. Will i need a longer driveshaft spline. The way im setting the axle in wheel arch i will need longer driveshaft. But if the flex wont be much more i wont get the longer splines. And maybe will just move shock mounts up,if the travel is the same. What u think or know.
You'll have to try it out to find out. There are even a lot of variables between trucks of the year and model.
On a personal note,
I did the flip on my 79 250 and didn't have to change the driveshaft length at all, and yes it'll felx out pretty nice (check my gallery for my flip coverage).
I went with the zero rate add a leaves from off-road design, added and inch of lift and pushed the axle 1.5" back to it's original before shackle flipped location. Here's a link, highly recommended Offroad Design - Fullsize 4x4 Performance.
