I am puting 32x11.5x15 bfg all-terrains on my f150. i am putting them on my 15x8 rims. i keep hearing to take air out of the tire when you mount a big tire on a smaller rim so that it doesnt bald in the middle. how much air should i take out? Thanks

I'd say 5 psi less than what it says to run in them...and go from there.

I wouldn't sweat it to much. If the tire doesn't look visually over inflated you should be fine.

I've had BFG ATs and MTs and they seem to last.
Right now I have Toyo ATs on my 1/2ton daily and they won't wear out fast enough,
I really want to lift it and run 35s....I just have a hard time driving a vehicle for an extended period of time and not modifying it.

x2.

I had 35x12.5's on a 8" wide rim and everything was fine.

I always just do the chalk test when I change tire sizes to make sure my tires are riding flat.

Seems to work well enough.

x2 on the chalk.

On a side note.....

I'll be doing this next week after the SDuty gets the new shoes on. 295/70/17's (33.5x11x17) on the stock 17x7.5 wheels. So I'll have to get the tire psi dialed in to avoid wearing the centers out.

Get a piece of chaulk and draw a few lines across your tire treads. Take the truck for a drive. Inspect the chaulk and see where it's worn off.

Even wear indicates proper pressure.

Wear in the center indicates pressure is too high.

Wear on the edges indicates pressure is too low.

Do the front and rear tires; they'll probably require different pressures.
