need help engine dies when using windshield wipers
get a razor blade and start taking the tape off the harness, you may even have to take out the dash so you can follow the wires.
It will be a long process (been there, done that) start with the fuse blocks, maybe a spider got in there.
But just start chasing wires, get a diagram so you can see what goes where. another good tool is teh volt meter with the continuity function. It will beep when you get contact, makes it a little easier to find crossed wires.

Did you recently have the windshield replaced? It may not have sealed properly and water is running down the inside of the firewall. That is what happened to my wife's Expy. Had the window resealed and no issues since.
Welcome to FTE. That's one I haven't heard about yet. Any idea of why just some of them do this? Do you know if these are the same ones that cause problems on the #8 cylinder?
My understanding is that ford had a bunch of cam sensors made somewhere that didn't meet their specs. or something like that.
It drove me nuts trying figure this one out.
I didn't belive it myself either.
I swapped one out, turn on the wipers and no problems.
Put the old one back on and the truck died every time I turned on the wipers.
Haven't had a problem since.
I don't know about causing the # 8 cylinder problem.
This may not be wrong with the OP's truck, but is worth mentioning.
May save alot of headaches for some one.
Of course ford (local dealer) says they have not seen this before.
