Radio INITIALIZING?

Radio INITIALIZING?
Driving to the airport today and hit the next button on the steering wheel to advance the songs on the CD. THe radio flashes and says INITIALIZING. Re boots a few times, then continues to operate as normal.
What's the deal? Is this a sign that it is on it's way out?

Do you have the stock radio? Do you have Navigation or Satellite?
Airports emit a lot of radio frequencies at pretty decent power. A bad antenna/transmitter can produce a lot of harmonics, kind of like how some VHF and CBs can talk over cordless phones and the drivethrough's headsets.
