Nice. Ever seen one of those pregnant sidewalls blow when not on the vehicle? Had one happen to another guy when I was working at Penske in Phoenix, he was airing the tire up for a leak check, and as a force of habit hit the lock pedal on the euro machine he dropped it on. I heard this odd squeaking noise, saw the bulge on the lower side and got him back away from it about half a second before it blew out. If it hadn't been locked down, it would have gone further, but instead just popped about a foot up off the machine. Very loud, lots of force right there.
The moral of the story: If your tire looks like it swallowed a football, then it's bad. Go to your tire dealer.
Ive seen a few bulges like that on vehicles before. I worked for a goodyear tire shop, and we used to sell these tires called the at/s. They were good tires, but they had a pretty bad run of them the one year, and i have seen bulges exactly like that, and some even a little worse.
Never had a car tire blow though, been in the shop when a semi recap blew one time, that was noisy!
