only getting 10 psi...

Hey guys.
after my gauge installation, i was seeing 14-15 psi of boost. it slowly worked down to where now i'm only seeing 10 psi. with this came a small reduction in power. I checked all my gauge connections, map line connections, air filter, and cant seem to solve the problem.
any ideas? thanks!
Edit: i did run my tanks really low this last time, so maybe clean FPR screen???

possible, but look for exhaust leaks behind the motor as well. check for any boost leaks

I doubt the FPR screen has anything to do with boost levels. Maybe the gage is just messed up. Try checking it against a known good gage or just disconnect it and see if it runs better. 14-15 lbs seems a bit low 10 psi is really low....18-20 is normal....no mods.

I was just thinking maybe it wasnt getting enough fuel to make more boost.
common spots for exhaust leaks? i can check the whole intake path myself, that's not hard.

th upipes on the exhaust right by the turbo is the most common, however i have seen the manifolds themselves leak on high salt use and bolts rot off.

14-15 isnt bad, i have ridden in plenty of stockish trucks that peak at 15 psi. some just produce more than others.

Exh leaks are easy to spot, look for black soot

Intake for leaks can be hard to find. A pin hole will cause low boost.

Ok, so is it safe to assume that if i dont have an exhaust leak, i do have an intake leak?
I kinda planned on replacing those boots anyways. joe, didnt you just do that for yours? where and how much for the boots?
Thanks guys. I tried to rep both of you but need to spread more love lol

I dont see any soot, so that's my guess. I'm reffering to the orange boots that connect the y pipe to the intake manifold.

do you have an intercooler? typicly neither set of boots go bad, check for oily residue if you still have the ccv in stock location.

hmm, it wasnt my intake boots. i dont recall it. but if yours are leaking you will probably have a black oily residue all over them. and the turbo snout where the hose/worm clamp is would possibly have some as well
