Radius Arms

What year did Ford switch from forged to stamped radius arms on F250's?
Thank You!

I dont know for sure but Ive been spending some time in the j. yards, Ive seen them with the newer syle arms from 73 up. Also I havent seen any 70 to 72 f250s. so not 100 percent on that. but I know my 65 f100 came with forged and when looking for a disc brake up grade I found that 73 to 79s used the stamped style.

My question to some of you parts guys is which is stronger? I would think the stamped?
hope so thats what ive got now!

Thanks for your response. The forged arms are stronger.

Forged as in pour liquid steel in a mold or whittled down from one solid piece of steel? All the radius arms I have seen for 65-68 have the casting flash running the length of the arms.

I beams and radius arms where drop forged in open dies. The flash is where the dies come together. Forged pieces are stronger than cast or stamped.
